This palace and fortress complex, built in the 13th and 14th centuries by the Nasrids, the last Muslim dynasty in Spain, bears witness to the high level of artistry, science and engineering of Al-Andalus.

The "Comare's eye" is a spectacular viewpoint and a place steeped in history with an incomparable view of the city of Málaga, the glittering Mediterranean and the impressive Andalusian landscape. This place owes its name to the famous Comares Fortressone of the most important defenses of Muslim rule in Al-Andalus.
Due to its strategic location, the Comares Auge once served as a Observation postto detect enemy movements at an early stage and secure the coastal region against attacks. This region was particularly hard-fought during the Reconquista, as it played a key role in protecting the Muslim territories.
Today, the Comares eye symbolizes the A combination of history, culture and breathtaking nature. The view from here is not only picturesque, but also tells a fascinating story about the heyday of Al-Andalus and its military challenges.
